Over more than forty years The King's Consort has generated a world-class reputation for its musical excellence and vitality, touring widely and selling in excess of 1,500,000 CDs.

TKC receives no state or regional subsidy for its work and relies on the generosity of individuals, companies, trusts and foundations to raise the substantial sums needed to enable its internationally-acclaimed musical work to take place. By donating to TKC’s parent charity, Vivat Music Foundation, you can help to support future concerts, tours, TKC’s “Emerging Artists” scheme and future recordings.

TKC’s recording label VIVAT launched in 2013 with a major recording, "I was glad", the Sacred Music of Stanford and Parry, which was a finalist in the 2013 Gramophone Awards. This has been followed by recordings of Couperin’s vividly atmospheric Trois Leçons de Ténèbres with Carolyn Sampson and Marianne Beate Kielland, Beethoven Quartets played by the Allegri Quartet, a wonderful disc of Monteverdi madrigals, an acclaimed recording of Handel arias with countertenor Iestyn Davies, two discs of Purcell chamber music with The King's Consort, Bach's Six Cello Suites with Dutch cellist Viola de Hoog, the first four volumes of Malcolm Martineau's comprehensive survey of Lieder and Song during the nineteenth century, Decades, two discs by outstanding composer-pianist Alissa Firsova, a large-scale recording of Mendelssohn's astonishing 1833 arrangement of of Handel's Israel in Ägypten, a much-acclaimed recording of British choral music of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, A Voice from Heaven, Carolyn Sampson singing four dramatic Italian cantatas by Handel, Abbandonata, Iestyn Davies and James Hall's recording of countertenor duets by Purcell and Blow, Elegy, a disc of Mendelssohn chamber music with Viola de Hoog, and two large-scale recordings of Purcell Odes, both discs becoming finalists in the Gramophone awards.
